About the Event
In Hempcrete Building 101 you will learn how hempcrete is made and gain an understanding of how, why and where it is an excellent choice of building material. In the theory component we will look at the costs involved, material sourcing and building science of using hempcrete on new building projects and renovations.
In the hands-on component of the workshop, you will learn how to assess the necessary materials and create a hempcrete mix that is appropriate for wall, floor and roof installations. You will also learn how to work safely with the materials and equipment as well as the physical application of the hempcrete via the “Cast in situ” method on a 10m2 building prototype.
